Would this control board work on treadmill with serial number 5638181910024587? What is the difference between this model and the one that says “upgraded”? Thank you.

Yes it will. The upgraded version was built to push a larger motor their for it can withstand heat slightly better.

Some of the replacement boards come with a plate. Is this necessary?

Its recommended just incases the belt sacks something and ends up in the front. Its also great to have for heavy sweaters. Sweat landing on the belt is being flung in the motor area as the belt turns up.

Yes it will work. Yes the MPN (manufacturers part number) is CRD020118. SOL0114 is a SKU (stock Keeping unit) number. We track our inventory using our SKU numbers so does most retailers.
